THE ADVENTURES OF MONDO & OLLIE
One big dog. One little. Big adventures. Questionable decisions.
Mondo and Ollie approach the world very differently.
Ollie is small, observant, and content to let Mondo test the situation first before joining in.
Mondo is big, enthusiastic, and happy to let Ollie spot the trouble before throwing his full weight behind whatever comes next.
Together, they can find trouble in an otherwise perfectly boring day.
BIG WORLD. TWO VERY DIFFERENT DOGS.
The Adventures of Mondo & Ollie is a series of warm, funny stories inspired by the real lives of two dogs growing up in Montana.
The stories begin with things dogs understand perfectly well: a fence, a smell, an unfamiliar animal, a noise in the distance, or something that clearly requires investigation.
What follows depends largely on which dog notices it first.
At the heart of the series is the friendship between two very different personalities learning, exploring, misjudging situations, and occasionally helping each other out of the consequences.
THE CURRENT ADVENTURE
The Horses Beyond the Fence
Ollie has found a hoofprint. A very large hoofprint.
Fortunately, Mondo has an excellent nose and a remarkable lack of awareness. Unfortunately, he also has no sense of urgency.
Getting Mondo moving is one problem. Keeping him focused is another.
INSPIRED BY TWO VERY REAL DOGS
Mondo and Ollie are inspired by Mando and Obi-Wan, two real dogs who are best friends largely because Obi has decided they are.
Obi relies on Mando for confidence, backup, and reassurance. Mando would be perfectly fine on his own, but has accepted the arrangement.
Their fictional adventures grow out of that very real relationship and the personalities behind it.
From there, imagination takes over.
For Beverly and our grandchildren still to come.
